Sheriff Mack Endorses McConnell

Richard Mack, a former Arizona sheriff and nationally recognized proponent of state's rights, has endorsed conservative Republican candidate Bob McConnell for the Third Congressional District of Colorado.

"I am honored that Sheriff Mack - probably the most notable proponent of the Tenth Amendment - has recognized those same immutable conservative qualities in me and has endorsed my candidacy," McConnell said.

"Sheriff Mack brought a case to the US Supreme Court that is one of the most important rulings in recent history," McConnell noted, "The case makes it clear that the federal government may not compel the states to enact or administer a federal regulatory program. In order to recover from devastating unemployment, the federal government has to get out of the Third District of Colorado. That is the mission I intend to accomplish as a congressman."

In addition to Sheriff Mack, McConnell has been endorsed by Grand Junction Results, The Southern Colorado Tea Party and
Combat Veterans For Congress. His grassroots campaign is unique in its strength, popularity and broad appeal across the Republican base. At 63, McConnell has never been involved in politics; he is a retired Colonel, Army Ranger who has led several expeditions to Mt. Everest.

"I am not a man who can be bullied," McConnell said, "And leaders like Sheriff Mack recognize and endorse that. The people of the Third District will set the standard for a new, fearless breed of representative. No more weak politicians, no more party politics. In 2011, this country reopens under new management."

Tired of unresponsive "representatives" who do as they're told?

Governance is too important to leave in the hands of politicians. We need to hold our representatives feet to the fire. We must watch every bill, demand that they read it fully and listen to us. We must be relentless in our civic duty because we have been asleep too long.

I'm a conservative Republican who ran for Congress in Colorado's Third Congressional District in 2010. Though I lost the primary I gained an amazing insight into how politics works, and I met hundreds of wonderful, concerned citizens. Let's stay engaged in the mission.
